I have worked in different organizations, and have experienced different types of leadership development programs because I have had formal employment experience. In my workplace, there is a training program organized annually for every employee to know more about the work, and how to get organizational tasks done using a new method. Some self-motivated employees are focused on and are trained to become a leader because being self-motivated gives one the possibility of being able to motivate and influence others. This set of individuals is sponsored for leadership programs or training. These individuals also get promotions such as becoming supervisors and managers.
